My parents named me Roberto, but called me Bobby my entire life. One day I looked in the mirror and asked myself, "Who I am?" and the word "Bob" came out. That's what everyone calls me. I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, but have lived in other places: Corpus Christi, Chicago, Japan, and Austin. I joined the Navy straight out of high school and traveled all over the world in the short 4-years I was enlisted. I worked as a Gas Turbine Systems Technician Electrician. It wasn’t fun when I was doing it, but when I reflect, I realize if I had the chance to do it all over again, I would.
Like everyone on the planet, I enjoy music. What sets me apart is, I like GOOD music. Like everyone, I take pictures. They are basic, but I enjoy it anyway. I'm tech savvy. Savvy enough to build multi-track recording studios, multi-camera platforms for over-the-air broadcast and live-streaming performances, create and execute fundraising efforts. I am also a content creator and have 20-years experience with audio and video production, graphic design, website building and servicing.
I have a weakness for coffee and chocolate. Not in that order, but in general. I'm an avid supporter of public service and volunteerism. I am challenged at breaking through the hiring algorithm used in the candidate selection process. A day will come when the program sees that my personality traits, my ability to grow and succeed within an organization, my willingness to learn and go beyond what is asked, is there, hidden between the rows of skills and buzzwords listed on my resume.
Will work for tacos,
Bob Flores
